The village hall was abuzz with teams engaging their grey matter for the Longdown Social Club’s Curry and Quiz Night. Questions on geography, sports, music and movies caused much head scratching and there was laughter when scoring competing team’s answers. Â
It was all great fun and the village hall felt alive again with over sixty people enjoying what felt like their first night out in a long time.Â
We raised £153.45 in aid of the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal thanks to all those who attended and donated. Thanks also to the Social Club Committee for organising the quiz, cooking the delicious curry and running the bar. Talk of organising another quiz night is already underway.Â
Our next event is the Cream Tea and Easter Egg Hunt on the 10th April at 2pm.Â
