It has been announced by Buckingham Palace that HM Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully this afternoon, 8th September 2022. The Parish Council and the people of Longdown and Holcombe Burnell are deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of Her Majesty.
A Book of Condolence has been opened at the Church of St. John the Baptist, Holcombe Burnell for those who wish to pay their respects. A designated area has been marked out for those who wish to pay their respects by laying flowers.
