With spring now thoroughly upon us, the Gardening Club’s talk by David Usher about bedding plants for your garden will prove most interesting.
Wed 20th Mar 2019, 7:30pm at the Village Hall.
Village social evenings at The Lamb were very popular last year and a great way for villagers to meet old friends and make new ones.
We would like to invite you to The Lamb on the last Thursday evening of every month when you can be sure to find some of your neighbours enjoying a chat and a drink.
Our annual Jumble Sale starts at 2:30pm on Saturday 23 February in the Longdown Village Hall.
Always a popular and well-attended event, raising money to help run the village hall. Please support us by donating your unwanted items and coming along to buy other pre-loved goodies (and have a cuppa with your neighbours).
Please bring any jumble you wish to donate to the village hall. If the hall is not open you can leave bagged items under the porch (protected from the elements!)
Sam will be talking about the kitchen garden, which was built during the peak of the Victorian obsession with productive gardens. Restored in 2003, the walled garden continues in the Victorian spirit, embracing innovation and new varieties whilst still looking to preserve our vegetable growing history.
Wed 20th Feb 2019, 7:30pm at the Village Hall.
Unfortunately, the social committee have decided to postpone the social evening which was planned for 20th January (tomorrow) at the Village Hall.
The social evening has been rescheduled for 7:30pm on Sunday 10th March at the Village Hall and we look forward to meeting you all.
