Spring is Fast Approaching

Spring is fast approaching and everyone will be looking forward to warmer days to enjoy with friends and family. As always, the Social Club and Longdown Village Hall would like to welcome you to our social events where you and your family can meet your neighbours and have some fun.

This year is a very important one because the country will be celebrating the first ever Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in its history. There will be festive events throughout the land and Longdown Village will be no exception. This year our usual village fete will be replaced with a Village Jubilee Party to recognise this unique occasion. More details below:

Curry and Quiz Night – 5th March

Why not join us for a fantastic evening and enjoy a fun-filled quiz with a delicious chicken or vegetarian curry buffet. Answer quiz questions on topics including general knowledge, sport, ‘where in the world’, music, history and geography. Adults only and teams must be no more than six people. If you don’t have a team of six then join others on the night to make a team!

Tickets are just £7.50 per person and can be purchased online here. Buying in advance helps us prepare enough food for the evening.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Bar available.

Cream Tea and Easter Egg Hunt – 10th April

It should be warm and sunny in April so what could be better than a Cream Tea and Easter Egg Hunt. Enter the prize draw for some great prizes.

The fun starts at 2pm and the tickets are just £5 per person, available on our website.

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Party – 4th June

A street party but in the safety of the Village Hall grounds (or inside if weather Is inclement). Bring your own food, invite all your friends and family. The bar will be open and there will also be a Pimms bar and Cream teas to buy throughout the afternoon.

The party begins at 12:30pm and further information will be available online.
