Longdown is lucky enough to have a large village hall in its centre. The hall is used by many groups on a regular basis as well private and public social events.
Since it was opened in 1971 the hall has been extended and updated but is now in need of some modernisation to ensure the hall serves the community well into the future.
The Village Hall Management Committee have started a project to redesign the Bar, Skittle Alley, Meeting Room and Kitchen spaces. Longer term this project will also incorporate plans to enhance the main hall, play area and car park.
The village hall management committee are looking forward to sharing the plans in detail with the local community and regular users of the hall. Details of the meeting are here.
The committee have worked closely with Sarah Cox Interiors during recent months. The images below show some of the proposed changes to the hall.
