Flare Path
March sees the return of the Exeter Drama Company to the Longdown Village Hall with their performance of Flare Path by Terence Rattigan and directed by their own Jenny Nash.
Race Night
The Village Hall will host their annual horse race night. Proceeds for the evening will be donated to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust in memory of John Addicott.
Village Halls Week
Devon Communities Together are hosting a drop-in session at the Longdown Village Hall to celebrate Village Halls Week.
Memory Tree
There will be a Memory Tree this year at St John the Baptist Church at Holcombe Burnell. We invite you to write a message in memory of a loved one this Christmas and hang it on our tree which will be blessed at Christmas time.
Temporary Road Works and Closures
If you hadn’t already noticed, there has been plenty of traffic lights in the village over the last few days. National Grid are completing extensive work to replace the old poles and cables that carry our electricity.

Hall Transformed into Ghostly Train Station
